On January 1, 2026, a music bar caught fire in the Swiss resort of Crans Montana. 41 people died as a result of this fire and nearly 150 were injured, some very seriously. Lieutenant-Colonel Alexandre Briguet, head of operations at the OCVS (Valais Cantonal Rescue Organization) and incident commander on the night of the tragedy, looks back on this intervention, which quickly took on an international dimension.
